Sion Organ Paintings
Built in 1390, the organ at the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Valere in Sion, Switzerland is the oldest operable church organ in the world. I have painted two versions of it, with baby wrens.
The keys beneath each painting are inscribed with the Latin phrase "In Alarum Tuarum Umbra Canam" -- this translates to "In the Shadow of Your Wings I will Rejoice."When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches.
Because You have been my help,
Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
My soul follows close behind you;
Your right hand upholds me.
--Psalm 63:6
